Ms. Goodman has over 30 years of management experience in government, nonprofit agencies and foundations. She has a broad perspective on the issues facing these organizations. Formerly the Director of the Management Analysis Unit of the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, she has been a grants manager in both the public and private sectors. Ms. Goodman was responsible for funding criminal justice programs for the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services, directed an international fellowship program at the Open Society Institute, and, as Assistant Director of the Westchester Community Foundation, directed and supervised grantmaking activities. She was the Assistant Director of a nonprofit organization serving inmates, ex-offender and their families. She has experience in a wide range of issue areas, including criminal and juvenile justice, youth, immigration, education, mental and physical health, aging, and the arts. She has been consulting with nonprofits and foundations, part-time or full-time, since 1989. Ms. Goodman has a Certificate in Mediation and Conflict Resolution from NYU and a New York State accredited mediation center.
